Currently Reading: 'Reaper Man' by Terry Pratchett
September 24 2023
I've been a fan of Terry Pratchett since around 5 years now. His Discworld series is one of those quiet comforts that I keep back going to, and there's usually a book from it in my reading rotation at all times. I've chosen to read the series mostly in order of releases, and I haven't regretted that choice (yet).
I'm currently on the 11th book, 'Reaper Man', in which Death (one of the recurring characters in the series) is replaced, and goes to live a life on a farm. As absurd as that sounds, it's just the beginning of things getting out of whack. There are apparently consequences to such a dismissal, and the story deals with those. (I think).
I'm about half way through this one, and I still can't say where the story is headed. The Discworld books, I feel, are more vibes than plot, and they are beautifully written all the way. With them, I don't need to know where I'm going to enjoy the ride!
I might post more updates on this later, and maybe even more on the Discworld series in general.
